Emerging Musicians, Music and Reviews

Boldness has power, magic, and genius

I should have posted this long ago but here it is.  Bob Geldof’s SXSW 2011 keynote address on St. Patrick’s Day.  He talks about musicians today not taking chances, not making statements.  He called it “continental navel gazing.”

Musicians are the people who can comment on society.  Ask questions.  Shine light on issues.  With all that is going on today, Bob wants to know:

Where is The Fucking Rage?!?

He is so right.  With the crazy times we are living in today, there is so much to say and so much to questions.  Where are the musicians who are taking chances and making statements?

Is it you?
