Peter Clitheroe Interview

Suffolk "n" Cool

Check out my interview with Peter Clitheroe, host of the independent music podcast Suffolk “n” Cool (see video below or check it out on YouTube by clicking here).  In the interview, Peter talks about the podcast, how he chooses the music that is played on the podcast, who listens, and how to submit your music.

peter clitheroePeter, based in the UK, started in the music business in the ’70′s at Island Records when Island was an independent label discovering great new artists and bands like Traffic, War, Malcolm McLaren, Jethro Tull and so many others.

Peter listens to 300 to 400 tracks per week before he chooses the 8 that go into the show. On the podcast and in the show notes on the show’s website, he provides the URLs for all of the band’s sites such as MySpace, BandCamp, ReverbNation and their own site so the listeners can find out more about the artists or band and the music.

The mission of the podcast is to source and present the very best in independent music then to make the triangulation between the listeners and the bands by way of Suffolk “n” Cool.

Artists and Bands can submit their music directly on the site click here to go directly there or through their publicists, record companies, or other agents.

I have been listening to Suffolk “n” Cool for a while now and I highly recommend checking it out if you love great independent music.  Find the podcast on iTunes or go directly to www.suffolkandcool.com.
