John Mayer Shuts Down His Twitter Account For Tumblr?

0 Comments 15 September 2010

John MayerWhy do you think Mayer shut down his Twitter account? Could his Tumblr account ever reach the same popularity?

Mayer had over 3.7 million followers on Twitter. Officially, a spokesperson for Mayer said Twitter was only used to promote his recent tour, Battle Studies, and is simply not needed anymore. The account is “now at a close and a return to the studio planned,” She went on to say that Mayer will now continue to communicate with his fans through his blog.

Even if Mayer has grown tired of Twitter for now, with 3.7 million followers, he might have a need or desire to contact them all again some day in the future.  This sure is an odd move that we will want to watch.
